In Palermo you are sure to find the classic round pizza or pizza slices, but the folk tradition also offers tasty variations on the theme. Thus, the greatest international classic of the Italian tradition in Palermo takes the form of a takeaway product for immediate consumption, as rotisserie item.
Pizzetta is therefore prepared with the same sweet brioche dough as the traditional pizza (including the variety of ingredients) but unlike its older sister, it is available 24/7 in bakeries, rosticcerias and bars. Some of the more eccentric variants, by the way, are mostly found at night!
